4-19-08 The Winners Are Here!
The winners of the first annual ACLADemy Awards have been announced. Some of the contests
were pretty close and only won by a single vote. We want to thank every one who took part and
voted. We will be making the special page for the winners soon.
4-13-08 Get Ready For The ACLADemy Awards!
Crystal Lake After Dark is going to be doing something pretty special this week. Starting Monday
the 14th we will be opening several polls on our message board for members to vote on. Those polls
will determine the winners of the first annual ACLADemy Awards. We'll have categories for several
different aspects of the Friday the 13th franchise with the winners getting their own Golden Jason
Award and a permanent page right here on crystallakeafterdark.com.
The polls will be open from Monday through Thursday at midnight. The winners will be announced
on Friday the 18th. If you are already a member of our message board just show up during those
days and vote. If you aren't a member yet just go here and join in on the fun!

4-13-08 Kane Hodder Discusses His Next Two Killer Roles
One thing can be said about Kane Hodder. He's still very much in demand. Fangoria recently
spoke with Hodder about his next two movies. In one of them he'll be portraying Dennis Rader
a.k.a. the BTK Killer. In the other film he'll be the Warden of the prison where Ted Bundy was
executed.
Both films are being done by Michael Fiefer who Hodder worked with before in 'Ed Gein : The
Butcher of Plainsfield'. It's a great article and well worth a read.

3-22-08 Jason Casting Rumor
Fangoria talked to Michael Bailey Smith about the rumor going around he might be playing
Jason in the upcoming 'Friday the 13th' movie. If he really is on the short list of
possibilities then the casting list for Jason posted here is out of date or the people making the
film have changed their vision. Because Smith doesn't fit the description in the slightest. To

UPDATE 3-30-08 Jason Casting Confirmed - Michael Bailey Smith wont be playing Jason
after all. bloodydisgusting.com has just confirmed that Derek Mears who played a Mutant in
'The Hills Have Eyes 2' will be stepping into the shoes of our favorite killer. To read the story

3-22-08 Friday The 13th To Have Supernatural Connection
We reported some time ago that Jason Voorhees would make an appearance on the show
'Supernatural'. It was later revealed that wasn't happening. So in a rather ironic turn of events
it has been revealed by The Hollywood Reporter that one of the stars of 'Supernatural' will be
appearing in the upcoming 'Friday the 13th' film. Jared Padalecki will be playing the male lead
in the upcoming film. I'm fairly happy about this news. I don't watch 'Supernatural' but I did enjoy
Mr. Padalecki's appearance in the 'House of Wax' remake. To read the full story go here.

just put up in the fan fiction section. It's called 'Freddy Versus Jason : Epilogue'. It's a great read

Friday the 13th fans are going to be in for quite a treat next weekend if they attend the Fangoria
Weekend Of Horrors. Scheduled to appear are Betsy Palmer, Adrienne King, Ari Lehman, Harry
Manfredini and Kane Hodder!

At the Fango Con In Texas last month Kane Hodder told Fangoria he is working on a video game.
In the game he'll be portraying a "slasher". You'll be able to control the killer in the game. Just think
you'll be able to kill with the inimitable style of Kane Hodder! He's doing the motion capture so it
