The mayor from part 5 tells the sheriff that Jason was cremated but we find out in part 6 he wasn't. One Friday the 13th site says the reason for the Mayor saying that is because "He was either mistaken or (more likely) he was lying to dispell rumors." I have reason to think he was misinformed. After all, Pinehurst is obviously in another county, how would he know if Jason was cremated and why would Crystal Lake authorities inform him of it when it's not even his concern? They may have said that to protect the reputation of the new Forest Green county. What do you all think?
