Hobbies : I love to watch movies. I love reading, pretty much every genre but Westerns and Romance. My favorite author is Stephen King with my absolute favorite book of all time being "The Stand". I enjoy surfing the internet. I met my best friend Alex online.
Films : I REALLY love movies. My favorite genre is Horror of course. My favorite movie ever is "The Princess Bride" and it goes without saying that I absolutely LOVE the Friday the 13th movies. My favorite being the original. My favorite "Jason as the killer" Friday is Part 2.
Music : I'd say I have pretty broad tastes in music. My favorite singer of all time is George Jones. With my favorite type of music being Classic Country. I do enjoy plenty of other types of music and musicians though. Like AC/DC. Queen, Meat Loaf, Nirvana and the list goes on. The only types of music I really don't care for are the newer "gangsta" rap and really heavy metal.
Bio : I was born and raised in Idaho. I was born 2 months premature. The staff of the hospital were so sure I wasn't going to make it they started bringing flowers to my incubator. I think it was my Mom's love that pulled me through. She was my best friend and the best Mom you could ever ask for.
She raised my twin brother and I pretty much by herself so she was both a Mother and Father to me. I could talk to her about anything and often did. Since she treated me as pretty much an equal she knew what I could and couldn't handle as far as entertainment goes.
She let me watch R rated movies far before the 17 years you have to be to see them. Usually watching them with me to make sure I could handle the subject matter of the movie and to answer questions if I had any.
It was this openness to letting me do my own thing that led me to see many great Horror movies. And probably why I got into horror so much. Because I knew I could handle watching them and she trusted me to.
The first Horror movie I can remember seeing was Altered States. That one scared the beejesus out of me. But it got me into the genre. My first Friday the 13th was Jason Takes Manhattan. I was hooked and I went and rented the rest in order.
I joined the C.L.A.D. message board in June of 2006 and I'm very thankful I found it. It's been the best year of my life as far as making new friends and it's just a really great place to go. The members are like my extended family and it feels like home.
I'm absolutely thrilled and honored that Demon chose to include me in making crystallakeafterdark.com We've tried to make it the absolute best Friday the 13th site on the net and I think we've done a pretty respectable job.
