Friday the 13th The Final Chapter

Jason is back, and this is the one you've been screaming for.

The Final Chapter starts up where part 3 left off. Jason's body is taken to the morgue where he soon escapes. This time Jason's wrath is unleashed upon a family of three.  A Mother, daughter and a son, whom Jason would soon never forget. Tommy Jarvis. Tommy is 12 years old, he is a wizard at making Halloween masks. After some vacationers move in next door, Tommy and his sister Trish meet a hiker named Rob who seems a bit mysterious. They soon learn he is hunting more than just bear. By night fall no one is safe from the maniac in the shadows. One by one they meet their bloody fate as the one and only Jason Voorhees can give it to them. A bloody rampage that brings sheer terror to anyone in his path. But, this time Tommy is in his path making this... Jason's Final Chapter. Watch as Jason is as ruthless as ever. This is a true classic right down to Tom Savini's mind blowing FX and the signature Manfredini score... See Jason make his final stand in the Friday you have been screamin' for!

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter has a more serious down to earth feel with the introduction of the Jarvis family. Friday the 13th has always had interesting characters and part 4 is loaded with them. For example, the coroner Axel, The nerd Jimbo played by Crispin Glover. The self proclaimed stud Teddy, Twins Tina and Terri. Of course there's also Kimberly Beck as Trish and Cory Feldman as Tommy. Each character has a story to tell which keeps them interesting. Rob the mysterious hiker is a man on a mission. Like most characters in F13 films, Rob evolves through the film from a man on a journey to a man dealing with fear. Finally when he meets his fate, fear takes over. Tommy Jarvis is the breakthrough character in this film. A 12 year old boy who makes Halloween masks and plays video games. He is put to the test against a machete wielding maniac played by Ted White who plays a very aggressive Jason. Steve Dash and Warrington Gillette's acting in part 2, Richard Brooker's in part 3 and Ted White's in The Final Chapter are three of the most scary jason performances. Even though this is not the end of the series as the title suggests, it does mark the end of Jason as a living character. Tommy becomes the fourth character along with Alice, Pamela, and Ginny to appear in more than one sequel besides Jason himself. He would go on in parts 5: New Beginning, and 6: Jason Lives. The storyline is well laid out and the acting is excellent. You get involved with the characters more than most Friday films. They will probably remind you of someone you know or knew before in your own life. You want to see what they are going to do next. Creepy, scary and fun are the best words to describe this installment if the F13 series. A lethal dose of the Friday formula like non other with more serious story. To me the first four Friday's are the foundation of the entire series. The Final Chapter is a must see for any Jason fan and you will not be disappointed.
